We’ve once again made arrangements with The Reverberators to play at this year’s Farmer’s Daughter. Last year they provided just the right atmosphere for us, and they’ll be back this year with a mix of straight up rock ‘n roll, a little bit of blues, ballads, rockabilly, and some original tunes at the start/finish pavilion from 2:00 -7:00, so we’ll have a nice party atmosphere there for you to enjoy when you finish your ride.
We’ve got some great food lined up, too. (Remember that for all participants this year your meal is included.) We’ll have delicious barbecued chicken, as well as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free offerings. Keep an eye out here for details as we finalize arrangements. Chatham Brewing will be there as well, serving some of the best beers around (your first one is free if you’re a ride participant).
Families and friends are also welcome to share in the festivities at no charge for entry. We’ll have food tickets available for sale for them ($10) as well. There are a number of nice things for family members to do while you’re out on the course, including walking or cycling on rails-to-trails pathways, easy nature trails to walk in and around the town park that serves as “home base” for the event, and plenty more, so consider bringing them with you to share the day and greet you at the finish.
